The constant rise of false teachers in the Christian world is nothing new. The Bible clearly shows that false teachers and prophets were present during the Old Covenant, appeared in the New Covenant, and are still among us today, continuing until the second coming of Christ.
- Bajinder Singh Declares Himself a Prophet, Yet His Prophecies Fail
Africa has become a breeding ground for self-proclaimed prophets, and this trend is gradually spreading to India and Nepal. Many self-proclaimed prophets in Nepal and India trace their spiritual lineage to African and American counterparts. Four years ago, Bajinder Singh prophesied that Kejriwal would not win the elections in Delhi again, yet Kejriwal won and became the Chief Minister. This is just one instance of Bajinder Singh's numerous failed prophecies. Despite this, he declares himself a prophet, deceiving many through claims of signs and miracles.
- Bajinder Singh Business in the Name of the Holy Spirit
India and Nepal are places where business thrives in the name of religion, and people are easily manipulated in the name of God. Bajindra Singh, who claims to be a Christian, has turned Christianity into a business. He alleges that the Holy Spirit commanded him to manufacture anointing oil, soap, and other products, and he now profits from these items. He claims that the anointing oil can cure cancer and make the user wealthy, even asserting that it acts as a guide. He has gone so far as to say that with a relationship with the anointing oil, one can be recognized by the Holy Spirit.
In many Pentecostal and Charismatic movements, the practice of anointing with oil and water has become prevalent. But where did this practice originate? It stems from a misunderstanding of James 5:14, which says, "Is any of you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord."
During the New Testament period, oil and wine were used as medicine, as evidenced in other New Testament books (e.g., Luke 10:34, 1 Timothy 5:23). James is instructing believers to pray with comfort after anointing with oil. It is misguided to idolize oil as if it holds power. Today, we understand that we should pray while also using medicine. Misinterpreting this passage leads to unbiblical practices.
Selling oil, water, and other materials anointed in the name of the Holy Spirit misleads believers and leads to idolatry, a grave offense against the Holy Spirit.
- Bajinder Singh Exploits People by Claiming to Perform Miracles
In a 2022 report by the News Room Post, it was revealed that Bajinder Singh charged ₹80,000 to bring a dead girl back to life. When the girl did not revive, her husband filed a case against him.
Conclusion: Bajinder Singh's ministry has now expanded its reach into Nepal. Following such false prophets or teachers leads to spiritual darkness. Those who claim their ministry is the "world number one ministry " are often the ones most deceptive.
